Perma yoga course
July 22nd, 2006
8 – 10 September 2006
Led by Nir Halfon and Beka Card
A weekend designed to bring together Permaculture and Yoga as a way of exploring sustainability – the true essence of Nature.
‘Nature, as it is, untouched, diverse, rich and full of potential – this is where we find our true selves.’
Permaculture essentially means being creative and resourceful by working with nature and using actual design for sustainable living.
Yoga means union (of mind and body) or non-separation
This is an introduction to Permaculture with the opportunity to learn basic theory and to also put the principles into practice, both through design work and hands-on experience.
Yoga and meditation will be practiced to further enhance our experience of being in Nature and to create a sense of harmony with ourselves and our environment. People with all levels of practice are welcome but it is important to note that there will be periods of silence during the weekend (approximately two hours a day) to support reflection and to deepen our understanding of the non-seperation of the inner/outer world.
The course will take place in beautiful woodlands in East Sussex for an experience of camping and outdoor living.
Cost: £125/£85 per person including all meals

‘There is no way in which non-discriminating knowledge can be realised except by direct inutition, but people try to fit it into a familiar framework by calling it ‘instinct’. It is actually knowledge from an unnamable source. Abandon the discrimminating mind and transcend the world of relativity if you want to know the true appearance of nature. From the beginning there is no east or west, no four seasons, and no yin or yang.’
