Firstly, apologies for any slight glitches on the site this month, a few server problems, which are hopefully now sorted.
Over the summer, we’ve added plenty of exciting new content to the site for your perusal, including some new FAQs and biogs from some of the Vajrasati team. On that note, huge congratulations to Vajrasati’s three newest graduates, Karunajala, Khadine Morcom and Beka Card, all of whom teach classes in and around Brighton and Lewes, well worth dropping into.
Other upcoming events include:
Bank Holiday Monday, 28th August: Jim Tarran’s 7.30pm class at the Hanover Community Centre will run as usual.
8-10 September: Yoga and Permaculture weekend with Beka Card.
From 15th September: Jim Tarran’s hugely popular advanced yoga course recommences. this eight week course is for students who have been practising for at least two years regularly and are familiar with the Sanskrit names of at least the main asanas. A basic grounding in anatomy is also useful ie: main bones basic muscles.
Brighton Buddhist Centre.
17th September: yoga half day at Brighton Buddhist centre with Jim Tarran
15th October: yoga day at Westmeston Parish hall with Jim Tarran
8th-18th November: Thailand retreat with Jim Tarran. Book now for the cheapest flights.
There’s also a home practice sequence from Jim and plenty of inspiration, too:
- The mantra Sabbe sattaa sukhi hontu
- Thoughts on silence from Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan
- A discussion between two bodhisattvas from the Holy Teachings of Vimalakirti
Plus, some highly recommended yoga books - bookmark this page as we will be adding to it regularly. We would also love to hear your recommendations for books that you feel are in tune with the spirit of Vajrasati, so mail us your suggestions
Om shanti,
The Vajrasati team
