Asana (yoga posture)

October 2nd, 2006

handsThere are hundreds of yoga postures that one can practice. Many of the asanas (poses) increase blood flow to certain areas and all work on the nervous system to invoke greater calm and clarity in general.

It is best to learn the poses with an experienced teacher who can show you how to adapt the pose to suit your present physical and emotional needs, but here’s one that you can try at home. It will help release tension from the joints and help to stimulate the liver which helps to heat the body up from the inside.
