Imminent Graduation

February 21st, 2007

anitadonnaThis term is very exciting for us in Vajrasati teacher’s community as we are hoping to be welcoming two more valuable members to our group of freely associated practitioners and teachers. Anita Hall (left) and Donna Shilling are nearing the end of their last term of training and both are shaping up to be wonderful teachers.

They have both already had their two preliminary assessments which where used as feedback sessions to affirm, clarify and highlight strong, middle and weak points in their teaching, which both teachers are currently digesting. They now only have the usual end of term assessment (3pm Brighton Buddhist Centre, March 9 – graduates, trainees and prospective trainees all welcome) before their finals on March 23. This will involve a written exam from 12-1.30 and a taught class from 3-5pm to which graduates trainees and prospective trainees are all welcome.

Both Donna and Anita have had a significant input and influence on the continued development and growth of the school and have contributed both on an energetic level and on a practical level, helping with editing homework list, suggesting new homework, giving valuable suggestions on discipline regarding attendance and homework commitments, as well as invaluable personal support to all their fellows on the Vajrasati teacher training program.

We’ll let you know how it all went for Donna and Anita next month… Good luck to them both
