March 25th, 2007

asanas(please also see acceptance criteria)

The process of being accepted on the course is in many ways part of the course too. Prospective trainees will usually plug in more deeply with what we are doing. This typically involves:

* attending classes
* attending courses
* attending days
* attending half days
* attending retreats
* attending Vajrasati assessments for trainees on the course
* meeting up with the course leader
* meeting up with trainees and graduates
* reading all the content on the web site
* starting to read from the book list

Any one who wants to do the training will be considered according to suitability, but priority goes to those who:

* understand and resonate with the basic principles of Vajrasati yoga: sangha (community), shared learning, the group growing with the individuals in it, not the individuals shrinking into the group, demonstrable philosophy, safety and taking students as you find them/taking the next step from where one is.
* show an appropriate level of commitment
* have been interested for the longest
* have a long-term regular practice

It is reasonable to expect a year from request to acceptance in many cases. During the time waiting some or all of the above criteria can be met.
