Open Dharma fundraising events

May 23rd, 2007

buddhaAn international meditation group called ‘Open Dharma’ are hoping to open a centre in northern Spain this summer. There will be a one-day yatra or pilgrimage: silent sponsored walk on Sunday 1 July around the Lewes area to fundraise for the Open Centre. Also, one-to-one yoga tuition on a donation basis.

Their means are extremely limited but their will and capacity to heal is limitless. I (Beka Card) have been participating in Open Dharma retreats, and more recently teaching, on their retreats for the past five years.

My experience with them has been unequalled to any other teachings and support I’ve come across so far on my journey. The teachers are unique in their ability to support and guide people. The ethos of Open Dharma is very much about diversity of religion – no exclusivity – and being in nature, silence and creating space for ourselves to reconnect with our inner wisdom and who we really are.

It is important that there are as many people taking part in the sponsored walk as possible so that a substantial amount of funds are raised. I am looking for anyone who feels like they have the time or the inclination to put energy into this centre, which will be a resource for us all – a place of rich diversity, ecological sustainability and deep spiritual interaction. Open Dharma and its teachers are already a gift to humanity and the Open Centre will be a way of allowing their fundamental work to continue.

These times in which we are living can be challenging; we can forget our potential as human beings and lose sight of what really matters. This is an opportunity to be part of something profound and meaningful – your energy and intention can actually make a difference.and help towards a bigger healing that is our birthright.

If you feel that either of these are something you would like to be part of then, please do get in touch: 07960 520 128.
