Yoganidrā teacher training 50hr Yoga Alliance Professionals certified 2024
On the back of Khadine's masters degree and a couple of decades of practice and teaching Khadine is launching a yoganidrā teacher training course. There are a lot of YN training courses out there but this will be a course with some difference! It is rooted in Khadine's thesis research around the role of sleep in yoga and meditation traditions of South Asia and will explore the rich history of practices that influenced or directly link to what is a modern yoganidrā practice. There is much more to this practice than the assumption that this was purely a practice created by Swami Satchidananda in the 1970's, and in fact Khadine's research has lead her into the depths of just how rich this history is, with seeds of practice found in some of the earliest teachings of yoga dating back over 2500 years. This course will give you a foundation in history and yoga philosophy and its direct application as a practice that opens the pathway to direct realisation and experience of the philosophy. It will give you confidence to guide people into the state of yoganidrā, in a supportive, inclusive and safe environment. It will enrich you with the tools for a personal practice and for a real understanding of what we are doing in this practice from the level of yoga philosophy, energetics and neuroscience. This will give you something very special to share with your students or purely for your own practice. The course is open to qualified yoga teachers and trainee yoga teachers, Pilates teachers, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and anyone who might be working in a therapeutic one to one environment with clients. Please get in touch if you have any questions around your eligibility.
The course is being programmed for Autumn 2024 so please watch this space for the dates to land.

As Dhrupad is rooted in Hindustani Culture, it is a sacred tradition. To honour this, I ask everyone who would like to attend to commit once they had their taster class. I appreciate that not everyone is able to attend every class, however it is important to immerse yourself in the practice, which us why I ask to commit to the classes they are able to attend before the beginning of each half term.
For any questions, please call me on 07816784546.
Dhrupad is a genre in Hindustani classical music from the Indian subcontinent. It is the oldest known style of major vocal styles associated with Hindustani classical music,
Dhrupad traces its origin to the ancient text of Sāmaveda. The Sāmaveda was chanted with the help of melody and rhythm called Samgana. Gradually this developed into other vocal style called ‘Chhanda’ and ‘Prabandha’ with introduction of verse and meter. The fusion of these two elements led to the emergence of Dhrupad.Dhrupad is the most ancient form of Hindustani Music. It evolved from the earlier chanting of OM, the sacred syllable which claimed in Hindu canon to be the source of all creation. In Dhrupad, we use our voice as a form of prayer to become one with God.
In this course, we will explore some basics of Raag Yaman. All teaching of Indian Music is based in call and response, so no previous experience necessary. We will sing the melody of the raga and dive into a state of wellbeing and connection.
‘Miriam is taking me through the journey of healing my voice, with deep listening, and sacred sound. Raga is a prayer. After each lesson, I feel blessed. ’
Marie-Helene Dalia Boyle
‘Miriam is a gift, Her classes can be personally healing, resetting long held narratives and opening your mind to the possibility that art is a spiritual practice available to everyone.’
