Beth Winn
I qualified in Hatha Yoga in New York with Yoga Alliance in 2008 and have since gained further qualifications in pre- and post-natal yoga with Yoga London and Kundalini with the Kundalini Research Institute. Raised in the Buddhist tradition, the relationship between mind and body runs through the essence of my being. I gained a scholarship to a top European Conservatoire and completed a BA Hons Degree in Dance as well as studying Psychology. I have been practicing Yoga for 20 years and been working with the body and its subtleties (myofascial and functional based movement) via a full-time teaching schedule for 10 years throughout the UK, Europe, South America and the US.
Personal interests include: sociobiology, evolutionary biology, psychosomatic studies and studies into neurological patterning and meditation.
I teach online and have been featured in Women's Health Magazine, several times in Om Yoga Magazine, online for Elephant Journal and for the Daily Telegraph. I teach mainly in London, running mixed and women’s workshops and have been an external assessor for Fringe Yoga Teacher Training. Other practices include meditation, Vipassana and training in Thai massage. I am currently studying on Jim Tarran’s Vajrasati 500 hour Teacher Training.
I offer a space in which to discover the naturalness of movement, breath and being. The physical practice is simple yet challenging in unexpected ways, nurturing, exciting, insightful and transformative. My intention is to bring yoga philosophy into a tangible experience for the individual for it offers the potential for positive change, integration, and greater health, well being and happiness.
