Ocean Isoaro-Dane

Discovering Vajrasati Yoga was like an unexpected, joyful homecoming for Ocean. She had enjoyed practising a variety of styles of yoga for a decade – since 2000 – however in Vajrasati she suddenly found the relief of fun, joy, and clarity; and a deep respect for each individual’s journey and discoveries. It was exciting and peaceful, all in one go!

Ocean’s classes have a meditative focus, with the invitation of even the slightest bit more of freedom and spaciousness in our unique bodies and lives at their heart.

She hopes to teach with heart, clarity, humour and a deep respect for everyone’s unique paths.

Pre-pandemic she taught at Brighton Buddhist Centre and one-on-ones from her home in Rottingdean; since the pandemic she has been teaching regular Tuesday evening drop-ins for all levels over Zoom, delighted with how lovely this medium has turned out to be for this purpose. All details of this class can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/yogawithocean. You are warmly welcome to join the class, however you are and wherever you happen to be. The class is pay-as-you-can.

Ocean is always happy to arrange one-on-one’s over Zoom, please just drop her a line at ocean@oceanisoaro.com, or call +44 (0)7986 124219. Private lessons are a great way to delve deeper into one’s practice, or to address something specific, with the full focus of a teacher.

Testimonials:

I have been attending Ocean’s Zoom yoga class weekly since lockdown commenced. The class is suitable for all – beginners or those with experience – as Ocean talks through every move and posture clearly, giving options for different levels. Each week the class varies in what we do which keeps it interesting. This is a great time to refresh the body and the mind, and a virtual class is a great way of accessing taught yoga at this time. “

I write for a living and sit at a keyboard for up to 12 hours a day – awful for my back. And I’m 48, so there’s that added stress. I have done yoga on and off for 25 years but seeing Ocean with one-to-one sessions has allowed me to stretch deeper and longer than ever before. She is the most helpful and insightful yoga teacher I have ever had.”
