I started going to yoga classes in the mid-90s - yoga has always helped me, and over the years this has gradually led me to join the Vajrasati yoga teacher training (2nd  year 2024-2025) to deepen my practice. I am interested in the links between yoga, and health & wellbeing. One of yoga's main aims is to calm the mind through the postures and this can be facilitated through strong and effortful postures, as well as more gentle and delicate ones - as well as a focus on how we are breathing. I value a yoga class that helps to make the benefits of yoga available to everyone - this is possible if we stay within our limits but push ourselves enough. I love the use of props - like a yoga block, belt or yoga chair - they offer such a valuable way to explore the postures.
